The holiday season has always been especially meaningful to me and The Salas Team. It’s a time filled with gratitude, reflection, and the opportunity to give back in ways that truly matter. One tradition that is especially close to our hearts is our annual Christmas gift delivery to Cole Elementary. It’s a reminder of why community-focused real estate means so much to us—because our work allows us to serve others beyond the transaction.
Community-Focused Real Estate in Action
Every year, our Christmas gift initiative at Cole Elementary is something we genuinely look forward to. This year, we purchased and delivered more than 1,100 individualized gifts for students from pre-K through fifth grade. These weren’t generic or one-size-fits-all presents. Each gift was chosen thoughtfully, with the child’s age and interests in mind, so every student felt seen and valued.
The process begins with our wrapping party—one of my favorite days of the year. Members of The Salas Team come together with past clients, current clients, lifetime clients, and vendor partners, all eager to help. We start early, wrap hundreds of gifts in just a few hours, and carefully label and organize everything class by class. There’s laughter, teamwork, and a shared sense of purpose that makes the day incredibly special.
Afterward, we decorate the school gym to create a festive and welcoming space. On delivery day, watching the children walk in, take it all in, and light up as they receive their gifts is something that never gets old. Moments like these truly capture the heart of community-focused real estate—bringing people together and creating meaningful experiences.
Real Estate With Purpose
We’re only able to give back at this level because buyers, sellers, and referral partners trust us with one of the biggest decisions of their lives. Every home we help buy or sell creates a ripple effect that allows us to continue serving our community. For me, community-focused real estate has always been about more than houses—it’s about families, stability, and lifting others along the way.
One moment that especially touched my heart this year was when a fourth-grade student handed me a handmade gift and a handwritten note. She shared that she remembered our visit from the year before and had prepared something just for us. That simple, thoughtful gesture was a powerful reminder of why we do this and why giving back will always be part of who we are.
Conclusion
When you choose to work with me and The Salas Team, you’re choosing more than a real estate transaction—you’re choosing to be part of something bigger. Yes, we’re here to guide you through buying or selling with confidence and care, but we’re also committed to paying it forward. Because of your trust, we’re able to continue supporting schools like Cole Elementary and serving our community in meaningful ways.
